One middleman: us.
We buy the bag
Full-size bags, spot only, from the Royal Coffee floor in Oakland. No futures contracts, no containers, no 18-month commitments — we buy what is landing now.
We break it down
Weighed into 1, 2, 5 and 10 lb lots, sealed the same day, and shipped within two business days. Green coffee keeps for a year when it is stored cool and dry.
You roast it
Every lot page carries the process, grade, elevation and a starting profile. First order from us? Ask and we will write the roast notes on the bag.
Buying green coffee is a pain in the ass.
Importers sell 132 lb bags, by the pallet, to businesses with a loading dock. That is a great deal if you roast 2,000 lb a week. If you roast two kilos on a Behmor, it is a wall.
- No 132 lb minimum — buy a single pound of anything on the list.
- Real Royal lot numbers, so you can look up the cupping notes and the warehouse.
- Priced at cost plus a fair margin, printed on the page. We are not hiding behind “call for pricing”.
- Ships USPS / UPS from Oakland, usually the next business day.
Roast levels, decoded.
Green coffee is not roasted coffee. It is a raw agricultural product: dense, grassy, and it will not taste like anything until you apply heat. If you have never roasted before, start with a washed Central American at City+ and work outwards.
Our guide covers charge weight, first crack, development time and which processes forgive a sloppy profile.
